Livemocha is a next generation online language learning site with the stated mission of creating a world without barriers. It is a community of people who are interested in learning languages and teaching languages. It connects people at different skill levels and engineers online conversations between people.
Why is it DIY?
The idea that anybody can be both a learner and a teacher and that these roles can exist within a single system make this an example of DIY.
